Owning an Android device is almost like having a PC in your pocket. Android's ability to easily navigate the file system on your phone is one of many features that separate it from the competition. Just plug your phone into a computer, drag the file over, and you're all set.But USB cables aren't the only way to transfer files from your phone. Cloud storage and file sharing services like Pushbullet can serve as a go-between amongst all of your devices. Unfortunately, though, file-size limits can hinder your ability to use these services with bigger files. Pushbullet, for instance, limits you to 25-megabyte files, and Box limits your uploads to 250 MBs.Developer Cylon U87 has created an app that will put an end to struggles with file size limits. With his app, you can simply split the file into pieces that will fit your service, then easily re-join them on the other end. Please enable JavaScript to watch this video.

Step 1: Enable Unknown SourcesSince Cylon's app, Files Splitter & Joiner is not available on the Play Store, you'll need to ready your phone for sideloading. Just head to your phone's Settings, then tap Security. From here, tick the box next to Unknown Sources and press OK on the subsequent popup.

Step 2: Install Files Splitter & JoinerFrom your phone's browser, just tap this link to download the installer file. When the download is finished, tap the corresponding notification to launch the installer. From here, press Install, then when it's finished, tap Open.

Step 3: Configure OptionsWhen you first open the app, swipe in from the left edge of your screen to see the side navigation bar. From here, tap the Settings icon near the bottom to configure some options. Most of these settings have very specific use-cases, but one to be aware of is Create self-joining batch file. This will create an additional file that can be sent alongside the various split pieces, that, when launched on a Windows PC, will automatically join the pieces. If you're planning on sending the large file to a Windows computer, be sure to enable this option.

Step 4: Split a FileFrom the app's main screen, just tap the Folder icon to the right of the Select a File field. This will bring up a file browser interface which you can use to find the file you'd like to split. To queue the file up for splitting, simply long-press it. The app puts the split pieces into the same folder that the original file came from, but you can change that destination using the icon to the right of the Select output folder field.When it comes to splitting the file, you have 2 choices: Number of chunks or Custom size. Use Custom size if you'd like the file to be automatically split into pieces that fit your cloud service's upload limits. To split the file into a specific number of pieces, use Number of chunks. When you've made your choices, a new button will appear in the upper right-hand corner. Just tap this to begin splitting your file.

Step 5: Join FilesSay for instance you've split a file, then sent it over whatever medium, and you'd like to join the file on another Android device.Open Files Splitter & Joiner on that device, then use the side navigation menu to select Join. From here, tap the Folder icon at the top-right to browse to any of the file's pieces. Long-press one of those, then tap the Join button in the top right-hand corner. This weekend, hackers broke into the servers of the popular shoe shopping site Zappos, giving them access to the personal information of 24 million Zappos customers. The user data taken included names, email addresses, billing and shipping addresses, phone numbers, the last four digits of credit card numbers, and encrypted passwords. However, full credit card data was not lifted, and passwords were cryptographically scrambled. But users are warned that they will fall victim to phishing scams via email. So, as always, make sure any links you click on in emails are legit. But the best practice is to never click on any!All of the customers were required to reset their passwords, but this isn't the first time, and certainly won't be the last, that a website gets breached. So, this is the perfect time to remind everyone on the importance of strong passwords. Whether you're joining a site or resetting a password, make sure you always consider the following eight steps.
Step 1: Make Sure Your Password Is UniqueMeaning, do NOT reuse passwords on other sites or applications. If one of the sites gets hacked, that means an attacker has your login information for other sites, as well. And they can reset your passwords anywhere and take control of your data.However, this can be a really tough task if you've created hundreds of accounts online, which is becoming the norm these days. If you just can't help yourself from reusing passwords, make sure you at least create unique ones for the important ones, i.e. email accounts, social networking sites (like Facebook), bank accounts, and any sites that have your address, credit card information, social security, etc. stored.But you still should use unique ones for every site. If you need help remembering your logins, try creating a file that contains them and securing it with a TrueCrypt container. That way you only have one password to remember.
Step 2: Use Long PasswordsThe shorter your passwords are, the shorter time and effort it takes to crack them. Don't use anything less than 12 characters if you can help it. Again, if you're using a different password for multiple sites, that's where something like TrueCrypt comes in handy. Because then you can only memorize one password (which should be extremely long!) to gain access to your other passwords.

Step 3: Use Cryptic CombinationsDo not simply type in a word or phrase. Do not spell your mother's name backwards or use your birthday digits. Do not make a password that is anything easy. Make use of the full ASCII encoding scheme to make your passwords tough.
Step 4: Lie on Password Recovery QuestionsPassword recoveries via email are easy ways for hackers to get into your accounts. And more than likely, if they know your name, they can find out what your mother's maiden name is, or what city your high school was in, possibly even your dead pet's name. Some sites won't allow you to skip this step, so what do you do? Lie. Fake information makes it harder for hackers to reset your passwords.

Step 5: Avoid LeetspeakOr.... 1337-5p34k. If you commonly replace letters with lookalike numbers, then you may want to stop. If you creating really long passwords, you might be okay, but leetspeakers tend to stick to short ones, thinking it's safe. But there are leetspeak dictionaries out there, as Null Byte has pointed out, making it an easy task for hackers to decrypt.
Step 6: Change Them FrequentlyDon't keep the same password for very long. Eventually, it could become compromised. The best tactic to use is changing your passwords regularly. Make a habit of doing it every other time you visit a website or at least once a month.
Step 7: Keep Them to YourselfIt's an obvious step, but don't tell anyone your passwords, even your spouse. You can only fully trust yourself, and that's it. Also, avoid storing passwords in your web browser's cache, because those can become compromised. And avoid using applications that store your passwords. The best solution is creating a document and protecting in an encrypted container, as mentioned in the first step above. Also, avoid any password suggestion software, or sites that tell you how secure your password is, because then you're not the only one who has the password now, right?

Step 8: Use On-Screen KeyboardsUsing on-screen keyboards for entering your passwords can help protect keyloggers from stealing your passwords. Mac computers have the handy Keyboard Viewer that you can use. You can also defend from keyloggers using browser plugins for keystroke encryption (here's one for Firefox).

Step 3: Choose Your TweetsNow you've got to add some content. After choosing the title and cover for your Moment, add relevant tweets by hitting the "Add Tweets" button right under your first slide. This will take you to a screen where you will be able to choose tweets to include in the Moment.You can add tweets by searching through your own tweets, your liked tweets, or just doing a general Twitter search for keywords and usernames. Once you've found a tweet you'd like to include, simply tap it and you will be given the option to add it.You can add multiple tweets at a time as well. While there isn't a limit to the number of tweets you can add to the Moment, Twitter advises not to exceed ten in order to keep your audience's attention.

Step 4: Arrange Tweets to Your LikingRealize that you want one tweet to come before the other after adding them? No sweat. All you have to do is hit the "Reorder" button next to the "Add Tweets" button in the toolbar, and it will pull up a screen for rearranging.From here, just press the tweet you'd like to move and drag it around the screen until it's where you want it to be.You can also change the color of the background that your tweets appear on by tapping the white drop icon at the top right of each tweet. This will let you choose from an array of colors to make your tweet more visually appealing. Be warned, though: You can't change the color of individual tweets, it's all or nothing. Once you've picked the color you want, hit "Apply all."

Step 5: Get Ready to PublishWhen you're satisfied with the look and layout of your tweets, it's time to publish. Before you do, check out the "More" tab at the bottom of the screen. The app requires you to select a secret point (one of ten buttons) that will act as the pin to your computer. Once you select the number you be asked to confirm and place the cursor inside a small gray area. Mouselock will ask to have access to your webcam if you have one. Accept if you want the program to snap a photo when the mouse is moved without unlocking. Now you can leave your computer. If anyone moves the mouse outside of that gray circle, they have five seconds to select the secret number you applied. If they do not guess correctly, a picture will be taken and an email is immediately sent to your Gmail account. Mouselock does not prevent people from using the computer once they have missed the secret pin. The app only informs you of the time and date of access and provides you with photographic evidence. You can also change the secret pin every time you use the app. Since there are only 10 options, it's wise to use a different number each time.Obviously this isn't a good replacement for a strong password if you really don't want anyone using your computer. But, if you're just looking for a quick and easy way to find out who's been draining your battery while you're at work, Mouselock is a great option.

Step 2: Install the ModuleFrom Xposed Installer's main menu again, head to the "Download" section and search "DisableSamsungClipboard", then tap the top result. If the module isn't showing up for you, tap the refresh button at the top of the list and search again. From here, swipe over to the "Versions" tab, then tap the "Download" button next to the most recent entry. After a few seconds, Android's installer interface should come right up. Tap "Install" on this screen. When it's finished installing, you'll get a notification from Xposed telling you that the module hasn't been activated yet and that a reboot is needed. Just tap the "Activate and Reboot" button on this notification, and Xposed will take care of the rest for you. When you get back up, your device's clipboard history will have been trimmed back from 20 to 1. To verify, long-press the menu button on the stock Samsung keyboard, then tap the "Clipboard" icon to view your clipboard's contents. (1) Stock Clipboard (4 of 20 entries visible), (2) History trimmed to 1 entry after module installation With your clipboard history now trimmed back to only the last thing you copied, sensitive information is far less accessible if someone ever gets their hands on your device.
